Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Nia Technologies, Inc. ("Nia", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our web app, mobile app, and related services.

Account information: name, email, and authentication credentials when you sign up.

Content you provide: messages, files, and other content you submit to chats, spaces, or voice sessions.

Usage data: feature interactions, device/browser type, and approximate location (from IP) used to operate and improve the Service.

Payment information: processed by our payment provider (Stripe) — we do not store full card numbers.

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To personalize your experience (memory, preferences, spaces).
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To communicate with you about updates, security, and support.
• To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or security issues.

By default, your conversations are not used to train shared or third-party AI models. If you opt in via Settings → Data Control, de-identified content may be used to improve Nia's own models. You can opt out at any time.

We use trusted subprocessors to operate the Service, including cloud infrastructure, AI model providers, payment processing, and analytics. Each is bound by contractual data-protection obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual chats, export your data, or delete your account entirely from Settings → Privacy and data. Deleted data is removed from active systems within 30 days, and from backups on our normal backup rotation schedule.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact privacy@nia.ai to exercise these rights.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and limited analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Nia is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect.
